The Villages, FL- Vision America and The Villages Tea Party will host a “God Save America Rally” Monday, October 22, 2012 at 5 5:30pm at the Savannah Recreation Center at 1545 Buena Vista Blvd. in The Villages, FL. Decorated war veteran Tim Lee along with Vision America’s Rick Scarborough will be the evening’s guest speakers. Admission is free.
“Our freedoms are in jeopardy and now more than ever, Christians must stand up and be counted,” says Rick Scarborough, president of Vision America. “America needs The Church to stand up and be involved in the political process.”
Tim Lee, the rebellious teenager and son of a Baptist minister severed two lower limbs in a land mine explosion during the Vietnam was, and was placed in a wheelchair for life. After his call to preach in 1973, and following a year of itinerant evangelistic preaching, Tim Lee pastored for five years in southern Illinois before surrendering to the full-time ministry of evangelism in 1979. The results in the lives of people were almost immediate as the former Marine began to stir and challenge God’s people across the country. They hear a clear, uncompromising message grounded deep in old fashioned patriotism, righteous living and biblical revival.
Rick Scarborough holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated from Houston Baptist University, with a double major in Political Science and Speech. In 1998 he founded Vision America and in 2008 he published the widely acclaimed book appropriately titled “Enough is Enough.”
Vision America’s mission is to inform, encourage and mobilize pastors and their congregations to be proactive in restoring Judeo-Christian values to the moral and civic framework in their communities, states, and our nation. Additional information is available online at www.visionamerica.org.
