MSGPR Team Provides Leadership at National Religious Broadcasters Convention

MSGPR Ltd Co, a Texas based Public Relations and Media Production Company is pleased to announce staff involvement in the upcoming National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention in Nashville Tennessee, February 26- March 1, 2011.

Lee Miller, MSGPR CEO will finish up his term as Chairman for the NRB TV Executive Committee and will moderate a boot camp session on social media. Charles Roberds, MSGPR Director of Social Media is also scheduled to present at the convention during the Saturday Bootcamp.

“This is no longer your parents TV,” according to Miller.  “Television is now much more with the convergence of the Internet, mobile and social networking. There is also a danger to television as there is a potential loss of spectrum as the FCC moves to remand more of this resource to other services.  We will be meeting with station owners, operators and programmers at convention to seek ways of protecting over the air broadcasting while exploring new technology to make better us of the airwaves.”

Miller, CEO of MSGPR has been involved in the Public Relations business for over 20 years. He has worked in commercial television news operations, creative services, promotions and public service and managed a television network. As a conference speaker, he has taught on subjects ranging from church growth ideas to television news operations. His instruction and writings on crisis communications have garnered accolades from media worldwide. Miller serves as the chairman of the NRB TV Executive Committee.

“The 2011 Convention will feature a boot camp that will guide participants through tools to help media ministry reach the masses through social networking,” says Roberds. “We’ll focus on the nuts and bolts on the how to’s of social networking.”

Roberds began as a graphic designer at MSGPR and has recently moved to more involvement in web development and social networking. Although he has just started his third year at MSGPR, he is an integral part of the leadership team that assists in managing over 350 web and media sites.
